Why Try: One-Eighty is an adaptation of the evidenced-based WhyTry LLC program. In a small group setting, students in grades 7th-12th will learn and practice conflict resolution, emotional regulation, good decision making, and learn how to improve peer, teacher, and family relationships.   Each group is tailor-made to meet the expressed needs on campus (i.e. include anger management, substance abuse, gang prevention, low academic achievement, cutting, depression, eating disorders, and anxiety).

Cost: Free, if recommended by your school counselor or administrator.
Sign Up:  To sign up for WhyTry, contact your school to see if the program is available.

Too Good for Drugs

The One Eighty, in partnership with LUSD and SJCOE, is proud to offer you Parent Project. Too Good for Drugs is being offered to Lodi's 6th graders on their campuses. Every quarter we will rotate between any of our Elementary Schools. "Sixth-grade students will navigate their way to a healthy future in Too Good for Drugs for Grade 6. This evidence-based program mitigates risk by equipping students with the self-confidence to refuse peer pressure and influence and resist substance use. Students strengthen their ability to set and reach personal goals, plan their actions, evaluate their choices, and develop the skills to solve problems by exploring how goals, peers, media, and family influence their decisions. Students identify healthy alternatives to drugs and resolve problems through healthy, pro-social strategies. The course presents the negative effects of alcohol use on the developing brain and the negative health risks of misusing prescription and over-the-counter medicines. The lessons further review the negative effects of nicotine and tobacco use and THC and marijuana use on the body as well as their goal-compromising effects." Questions? Feel free to call us!

School-Based Mental Health Counseling

We are thankful to say that we are partnered with FIVE different school districts. We offer mental health services to your student population during the school day. Our therapists can meet one-on-one with students who are struggling, need extra support, or are referred by teachers/admin. A therapist can screen students for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, or other issues and provide help and connections with community support. If you are interested in having mental health support on your campus please e-mail for availability and cost information.

Love & Logic

The Love and Logic approach to parenting is built around the science of caring and respectful relationships. An authentic, loving connection between parents and their children forms the foundation of good behavior and healthy decision-making. The "love" in Love and Logic means that we love our kids so much that we are willing to set and enforce limits and do so with sincere compassion and empathy. The "Logic" in "Love and Logic" happens when we allow children to make decisions and affordable mistakes, and experience the natural or logical consequences. When we balance this with sincere empathy, they develop the following logic: our children learn that the quality of their lives depends on the quality of their choices.

One-Eighty Teen Center

The Teen Center is a place where teens can hang out and feel safe to be themselves. It's also a place to learn new skills like rock climbing, welding, job training, and gardening from our mentors. With a snack bar and cafe, teens can also enjoy sharing hot pizza or a specialty drink with a friend. Teens can also enjoy playing ping pong, video games, basketball and more. Most importantly, the Teen Center is a place where teens will feel love and support from our staff and will be empowered to succeed with the help of our many resources. We strive to help youth make positive one-eighty degree changes and to help them thrive!

One-Eighty Adventures

It has been our observation over the years that the most powerful way to form transformative relationships is through shared experience. We are taking that shared experience to the next level. Taking kids outside their normal environment to see a world that's bigger than the one they know.
